Personal thought could brake light issue only be related while the auto headlamps are functioning? my investigation led to many hundreds of complaints around the internet about all of the same problems happening at the same time on Saturn Aura, chevy malibu, and pontiac g6. I don't know if cruise was working since I was parked. When I hit brake petal the brake lights would function as normal. The brake lights were off and running lights on. When I reached destination it was dawn light and car was running in park. When applying brake petal the brake lights go off, and then they will come on when the petal is released. Second, a few weeks later, cruise quit functioning again, this time I noticed the brake lights were on while not touching brake petal. Cruise corrected itself after trying it after several miles. I wonder if it were their child behind the wheel if they would feel the same way? I will never buy another gm product and will put my story on facebook for all to see so they are aware.įirst noticed cruise disengaged while driving and would not re-engage. So every day I put myself in danger and risk my life only to find out that gm does not seem to be concerned. I received my recall notice in July 2014 and it is now Augand still they can not tell me when the part will even be available. They tell me they are waiting for the part to be made and there is nothing they can do. I have also been yelled at by the drivers who have almost hit me because they think my break lights are not working - which they are right. I have been almost rear ended twice in the past week due to my break lights not illuminating. When I apply my brake the lights do not illuminate and when I do not apply the brakes the brake lights go on. The one in concern is the brake apply sensor which causes the service brake lamp malfunction. I have not 1 but 2 recalls on my 2007 Aura Saturn.
